Laura Chapot Leads the Way at 75th-Annual Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Laura Chapot of Neshanic Station, NJ, and Calafornia topped the $10,000 1.40m on Wednesday, October 20, to kick off the Open Jumper divisions at the 75th Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.

Chapot and the 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, owned by Laura and Mary Chapot, were the second of 22 entries to contest the one-round speed track set in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex’s Harrisburg Coliseum by course designer Manuel Esparza (MEX).

Hunt Tosh and Cannon Creek are Grand at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Hunt Tosh and Cannon Creek, owned by the Wheeler Family, earned the 2021 Pennsylvania National Horse Show Grand Hunter Championship on Tuesday, October 19, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

With a clean sweep of the High Performance Hunter over fences classes and a second-place finish in the under saddle aboard Cannon Creek, Tosh was also named the 2021 Leading Hunter Rider as the competitor with the most points in one division. For his classic riding style, Tosh was additionally recognized by the judges as the 2021 recipient of the Kenneth Wheeler Style of Riding Award.

Elkridge Harford Hunt Club Rides to Hunt Night Championship at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – The riders of the Elkridge Harford Hunt Club were named the Hunt Night Champions on Monday, October 18, at the 75th Pennsylvania National Horse Show, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.  

The winning hunt was one of eight registered hunt clubs from across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia represented at Hunt Night, presented by Kinsley Construction and the Quaker City Foundation, and throughout the evening, more than 50 riders participated in the offered Field Hunter, Sidesaddle, Hunter Under Saddle, and Hunt Team classes.

Grace Debney Earns Victory in Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Following four rounds of testing, a field of 223 of the nation’s best junior riders was whittled down to the new 2021 Dover Saddlery/US Equestrian Hunter Seat Medal Final champion: Grace Debney of Hampden, MA.

Finishing second in the class, held as part of the 75th Pennsylvania National Horse Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA, was Zayna Rizvi of Wellington, FL, riding Finnick. Third place went to Eleanor Rudnicki of The Woodlands, TX, aboard Travis Scott, and Skylar Wireman of Bonsall, CA, rounded out the top four riding Eretto.

Hannah Hoch Gets the Gold in Neue Schule/USEF Junior Jumper Individual Championships at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Hannah Hoch and Shariva topped the $10,000 Neue Schule/USEF Junior Jumper National Championship on Saturday, October 16, marking the thrilling conclusion to three days of junior jumper championship competition at the 75th Pennsylvania National Horse Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

“It’s really an incredible feeling to be rewarded like this after so many years of training and hard work,” said Hoch, 18, of Whitefish Bay, WI. “The list of the riders that are competing here is no joke; there are a lot of experienced riders and a lot of top horses. It’s so rewarding to be able to win at such a prestigious and competitive show.”
