Caroline Ingalls and Jamee Crawford are Grand at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Caroline Ingalls on Concerto and Jamee Crawford on Churchill claimed the Amateur-Owner Hunter 3’6” and 3’3” Grand Championships, respectively, on Thursday, October 20, at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.
 
On their way to the 3’6” grand championship title, Ingalls and Concerto first earned the Amateur-Owner Hunter 3’6”, 18-35 division championship, for which they were presented the Wintarra Ring Perpetual Trophy, donated by Mary Lisa Leffler and Rolling Acres Farm.
 
Ingalls, of San Diego, CA, has been partnered with 11-year-old Concerto for nearly 7 years, and together the pair have achieved great success, including earning the reserve championship in the same division at last year’s PNHS.

McLain Ward and Lezaro Win $30,000 Beyaert Farm Grand Prix at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Olympic gold medalist and Pennsylvania National Horse Show crowd-favorite McLain Ward topped the leaderboard in the $30,000 Beyaert Farm 1.45m Grand Prix aboard Lezaro on Thursday, October 20, in Harrisburg, PA.

Ward and the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding came to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex fresh off a victory in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Greenwich (Connecticut) two weeks ago, and they replicated their winning ways to top the 33-horse field on Thursday night at the PNHS.

Rodrigo Pessoa and Venice Beach are Victorious at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa and Venice Beach kicked off the Open Jumper competition at the 2022 Pennsylvania National Horse Show with victory in the $10,000 1.45m Speed Challenge on Wednesday, October 19.
 
Pessoa and the 13-year-old Hanoverian mare, owned by Artemis Equestrian Farm LLC, were one of 36 entries to take on the speed track set by course designer Anderson Lima. As the third pair to enter the ring at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA, Pessoa and Venice Beach laid down a lightning quick time of 54.583 seconds that would go untouched through the remainder of the class.

Scott Stewart and Jordan Sweep Grand Hunter Championships at Pennsylvania National Horse Show

Harrisburg, PA – Scott Stewart rode Jordan, owned by Sophie Gochman, to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Grand Hunter Championship on Tuesday, October 18, in Harrisburg, PA.  

Stewart and the 9-year-old Selle Français gelding claimed two wins and a third place over fences, a win under saddle and a second-place finish in the model on their way to the Green Conformation Hunter division championship, sponsored by Caroline Moran & Goshen Hill. For the division championship, Stewart was presented with the Wild Air Farms Challenge Trophy, donated by Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Johnson, Jr. and returned to competition by Mrs. Haywood Nelms, Jr. Finishing as the Green Conformation Hunter reserve champion was another of Stewart’s mounts, Whimsical, owned by Gochman Sport Horse LLC.

Keswick Hunt Club Riders are Masters of Hunt Night

Harrisburg, PA – The riders of the Keswick Hunt Club were crowned the Hunt Night Champions on Monday, October 17, at the 76th Pennsylvania National Horse Show. 

The show, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA, features prestigious hunter, jumper and equitation competition, with exhibitors flocking in from across the country to claim championship titles.  

The Hunt Night field was stacked with 18 different hunt team combinations from across Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia contesting the courses at Hunt Night, presented by Kinsley Construction and the Quaker City Foundation. Throughout the evening, more than 100 riders participated in the offered Field Hunter, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Team classes.
