What Does the PNHS Foundation Do?
Harrisburg, PA – May 5, 2021 – The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is more than just a horse show, it’s also the largest source of funding for the PNHS Horse Show Foundation!
Through your support and the proceeds from the PNHS, the PNHS Foundation is able to provide grants to therapeutic riding and equine rescue organizations.
Each July, we open up grant applications, and, following the conclusion of the PNHS, our PNHS Foundation Grants Committee reviews the applications and allocates funds for distribution.

In 2019-2020, the PNHS Foundation was able to award grants to 20 equine programs!
These grants help the receiving organizations to provide veterinary care, purchase therapy equipment, offer special need student scholarship funds and much more.
In addition, the PNHS is proud to host the Therapeutic Riding Championship each year during the horse show on “Foundation Friday.” This championship event gives qualifying therapeutic riders the opportunity to compete in the PA Farm Show Complex’s main arena, vying for the Assisted and Unassisted division championships.
