About the Foundation

Established in 1999, the PNHS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides support for equine rescue programs and therapeutic riding groups.

In 2025-2026, the PNHS Foundation awarded more than $125,000 in grants to non-profit recipients both locally and across the nation. Foundation grants provide scholarships for therapy students, facilitate care for therapy and rescue horses, allow for the purchase of equipment for horses and riders and much, much more.

Words From Our

GRANT RECIPIENTS

“The Foundation’s gift will help us to continue ensuring the health and wellbeing of our incredible herd as they work to improve the health and wellness of children and adults with disabilities through Riding to the Top’s equine-assisted services. Your support is so important to RTT and has truly helped to support the incredible horses who change the lives of our clients and their families – and our volunteers as well! Thank you!” – Kelly Johnson, Development Director, Riding to the Top

“EQUI-KIDS is a magical place where first words have been spoken and first steps have been taken. It is a place where barriers have been overcome and where freedom and independence are gained. It is a place where participants come to connect with each other and our exceptional herd of therapy horses, finding a judgment-free sanctuary that empowers them to reach their goals. EQUI-KIDS is a collective effort of dedicated and passionate individuals working together to advance our mission, creating a positive impact in the lives of all we serve.’ – Eileen White-Garcia, Operations Administrator, EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program

“Thank you so much for your generosity in the grant for our therapeutic horsemanship program. We are excited to use those funds for a water wheel to maintain our outdoor arena as we expand our services. You are appreciated!” – Danielle Swope, Executive Director, Bridlepath Equine Center

“Your thoughtful gift to the Equine Care Fund helps us grow – and that growth means more lives changed through the power of horse and human interactions. Last year, we provided programs for 72 participants each week. Today, we’re reaching over 100 individuals a week across therapeutic riding, unmounted horsemanship and specialty programs. Each horse brings hope to more people, and your support makes it possible.” – Missy Lamont, Executive Director, High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Inc.

“The money your foundation awarded Pal-O-Mine will enable riders with a myriad of disabilities to compete in our 2026 horse shows and clinics, regardless of their financial ability. As you know all too well, horse shows are cost-prohibitive to many of our students, so your grant will allow them to experience the benefits of horse showing and riding in front of judges and clinicians.” – Lisa A. Gatti, CEO/Founder, Pal-O-Mine Equestrian
