How To Get Involved in the 2023 Pennsylvania National Horse Show

The 2023 Pennsylvania National Horse Show is less than four months away, and now is the perfect time to get involved in this year’s show – which promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Here are eight ways to be part of this year’s show, to be held October 12-22 at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

1) Gather your barn friends or teammates for Team Night on Friday, October 20.

With special prizes for groups across a number of categories, barns and sports teams alike are encouraged to gather for what is set to be one of the most exciting nights of the week, the inaugural Pennsylvania National Horse Show Team Night! From riding to baseball to soccer and more, no matter the sport, all teams are invited to come out to cheer on the equestrian athletes in the $30,000 Grand Prix. Stay tuned for more details on how your group can get involved.

2) Purchase your tickets now!

Tickets are now on sale for the $30,000 Grand Prix and Team Night on Friday, October 20, and the $100,000 Grand Prix de Penn National on Saturday, October 21. To learn more and to purchase your tickets, click here.

3) Get ready to celebrate horses with the entire family.

On Saturday, October 14, the PNHS will shine a spotlight on the animals that we love with the Celebration of the Horse, to be held from 1-4 p.m. The special day will feature fun for the whole family, including pony rides, behind-the-scenes tours, educational displays, face painting, arts and crafts, wagon rides and more.

4) Make plans to be an exhibitor.

This year’s PNHS will feature more opportunities for exhibitors than ever before. To learn more about the new qualifying guidelines for Children’s, Adult, Low Junior and Low Amateur competitors, click here. For all competitors, look for a full schedule and prize list coming in July!

5) Come see what the PNHS Foundation is all about.

The PNHS Foundation is the heart and soul of the horse show. Each year, the Foundation makes grants available to equine rescue organizations and therapeutic riding programs, and this year, the Foundation hopes to provide more funding than ever before. On Friday, October 20, the general public is invited to come learn more about all of the Foundation’s current grant recipients as part of Foundation Friday, featuring the LifeVac Therapeutic Riding Championships.

6) Plan to attend the second-annual PNHS Educational Fair.

From Friday, October 13, through Sunday, October 15, more than a dozen secondary schools and universities are expected to attend the second-annual PNHS Educational Fair. Educational institutions interested in participating, please contact Emily at emily@randolph-pr.com.

7) Submit your artwork to the PNHS Poster & Program Art Contest.

Now through July 14, the PNHS is accepting high-quality artwork submissions for the 2023 official poster and program cover. In addition to the honor of being featured on both the program and collectible poster, the winning artist will receive a $1,000 cash prize! To learn more, click here.

8) Become a sponsor.

From special event sponsorships – including Team Night and the Celebration of the Horse – to hospitality, class sponsorships and more, numerous opportunities are always available to promote your barn, business or personal brand while directly supporting the PNHS Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.
