Raising the Hospitality Bar at PA National’s 70th

“Der Dau Raises ‘Harrisburg’ Exhibitor Hospitality to new Heights”

A long-time vendor at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show at Harrisburg, Der Dau returns to the show in 2015 in a greatly increased capacity becoming both the “Official Custom Boot” of the PNHS as well as the

Naming Sponsor of the “Balcony” located at the north end of the main competition ring. The “Der Dau Balcony” will provide additional rider hospitality during the day and continue as a prime location for additional sponsored events at night. Adding a welcome new spot to watch the action in the ring, the balcony will provide beverages and light snacks daily with additional catered hospitality on specified days. The traditional Exhibitor’s Lounge will continue to serve hot meals from 6 am through 5 pm daily in its usual location near the in gate and riders can use the Der Dau Balcony as a place to meet, relax, catch up on emails, etc.

Launched in 2014, the Balcony is located at the north end of the ring and provides seating for up to 50 at tables running perpendicular to the ring. Decorated at the entrance with significant landscape designs by Trump Lawn and Land, the Balcony provides a great retreat for riders and trainers. Recognizing the Balcony’s hospitality potential, Der Dau offered Medal Riders hot breakfast and lunch during last year’s Medal finals and entertained riders, parents and trainers throughout the day. As a frequent sponsor of rider hospitality at other shows, Der Dau has expanded its presence at Pennsylvania National to include rider hospitality on the Der Dau Balcony. Der Dau will also use the balcony as a spot to promote their Trade-In campaign in support of The Rider’s Closet making riding boots available to more equestrians.

“We are so pleased Der Dau has made the commitment to continue to support our show and provide this additional hospitality to our competitors,” said Liz Shorb, President of the horse show. “It is always nice to grow together with your supporters. We thought a new Balcony would be a good idea and Der Dau joins us in that vision.”

“We, at Der Dau, are so happy to bring our New York City atmosphere to the Pennsylvania National in this new space,” said Joseph Der, CEO of Der Dau. “We hope that it will give riders and parents a nice place to watch the competition, grab a small snack, or just relax in between classes. It is a long road to the Pennsylvania National and we, at Der Dau, want to wish all the riders good luck throughout the rest of the year and we cannot wait to see you at Harrisburg!”
