It feels like just yesterday that we were onsite at the 2023 Pennsylvania National Horse Show, so it’s hard to believe that we are already counting down to this year’s 78th annual edition! As we look forward to returning to the PA Farm Show Complex from October 10-20, 2024, here are just a few of the activities and events to anticipate and ways to get involved this year.

Save the Date for Special Events Galore

Amidst the 11 days of top-notch competition, exhibitors and spectators alike can look forward to the return of several special events. Be sure to mark your calendars now for the following festivities!

Celebration of the Horse / FAMILY FUN DAY
Saturday, October 12

From 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, all are invited to attend this free family fun day! The Celebration of the Horse will feature arts and crafts, horse-drawn wagon rides, behind-the-scenes tours, face painting, educational displays, pony meet-and-greets and much more to be announced!

FOUNDATION FRIDAY
FRIDAY, October 18

At the heart and soul of the PNHS is the PNHS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to “Enriching Lives Through Equestrian Sport.”

Each year, the Foundation provides support for therapeutic riding and equine rescue programs through grants. The PNHS serves as the primary source of funding for these grants, and Foundation Friday – featuring the LifeVac Therapeutic Riding Championships – aims to shine a spotlight on all of the organization’s grant recipients.

TEAM NIGHT
FRIDAY, October 18

Whether you have a group of barn mates, are part of a 4-H club, a soccer team, a Girl Scout troop – or truly a group of any kind – all are invited to vie for prizes and be a part of the second-annual PNHS Team Night!

Special group-rate tickets will be available, with contests, prizes and more to be announced this summer!

HUNT NIGHT
MONDAY, OCTOBER 14

The tradition and style of the hunt field are showcased in the ring on Monday night at the PNHS. Each year, more than a dozen hunts from throughout the tri-state area compete for top honors in Field Hunter, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Team classes, as well as vying for the overall hunt team championship.

In addition to the competition, Hunt Night also features the crowd-favorite Parade of Hounds. Admission and parking are free.

Vendor applications are now open, with many great vendors already on board! NEW this year is the option to be a “weekend-only vendor!” This allows vendors to be onsite exclusively during Junior Weekend (October 10-13) or during the finale weekend (October 17-20).
